The St. George Iconography School was founded in May 2024. in Washington. D.C., USA, by Dajana (née Perić) Douglas, a Master Fine Artist, Iconographer, Academic Painter, and Professor of Visual Arts.
Classes at are organized in collaboration with the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers Odigitrija (founded in April 2016), which is based in Bijeljina, Republic Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and has a representative office in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Today, the School offers classes both online and in-person in Serbian or English. It provides opportunity to gain a deep understanding of icon theory and theology and to master iconography skills. The school also work with students who are looking to enhance their skills in specific programs, such as calligraphy, gilding, or painting with egg tempera.
Our School provides opportunities to connect with Iconographers from around the globe and encourages participation in both domestic and international exhibitions. We hold regular conversations with other iconographers to share experience and expertise.
